Scott and Lisa at Scott's surprise birthday party

First can I say that I have been booking clients smack up to Christmas for weeks upon weeks now and I still can't believe the season is upon us! It is a full blown case of denial as I have had to look the other way (since before Halloween) averting my eyes from the copious amounts of holiday decorations screaming out at me long before they should.  Some of my amazing clients declaring with a light hearted smugness that they have finished their christmas shopping early! What? How can this be? Alright 2014....that wizzed by like an out of control train with failing brakes.....I for one am slowing it down to enjoy this holiday season and share with you some gorgeous trends in hair & beauty, fashion & fun things to do.....and some awesome holiday recipes I have found that I think you will love!

 I hope you will begin "anew" with me and visit here often as I plan to share with you what is fun to do around our local area for dining out and live music. I would love to hear of your great finds too.....lets have fun together!

Styles to consider this holiday season:

Pixie Cut with soft flirty fringe- This fun look is all about using a root lifter like Volume Fusion by Eufora when hair is damp. Blow dry it first with your fingers like I do in the salon, rubbing and drying your scalp first and the using a big round brush to keep it soft and just curving at the ends.
If you have curly hair or want that extra sleek and smooth look use a flat iron to keep it close to your head. Finish with some Sexy Soy Paste (one of my favorite products of all time) to texturize and tousle.

Blunt Angled Bob- This look works with both a side or middle part and is great styled super clean or if you like a little lift use Volume Fusion by Eufora at the roots before drying. This blunt cut looks great both finger styled or blown out smooth and then use Sexy Soy Paste scrunched at the ends showing off the cut and texture. If you want the look extra smooth and sleek then blow dry with a big round brush and finish with the flat iron and some Illuminate Shine Mist by Eufora.

Piecey Layered Long Bob- With hair damp and well towel dried apply Fixation Styling Foam by Eufora and finger style keeping the hair loose while drying and then scrunch toward the end of your drying time. Use a 1/2" to 1&1/2" curling iron and "skip" curl some of the outside layer of the hair. It is not necessary to curl every hair and in fact it will create a much different look if you do! Shake out and spray with Elevate by Eufora to seal the deal.

Mermaid Long Flowing Locks-For this look you can also begin with Foamation Styling Foam by Eufora on damp hair and finger style and scrunch as the hair is almost dry. Second day hair is great for this style as well! Using a big curling iron with large sections of hair and all curls going in the same direction away from the face and toward the middle in the back. Shake out these curls by forking your fingers through them behind you and finish with a few pumps of Illuminate Shine Mist on the ends and then tousle and scrunch some Sexy Soy Paste and you are good to go!

Dont forget about fun, easy, and sometimes "messy" up dos...they can be super easy to do and look less fussy than a sleek and perfect "salon" coif! Give it a go...You can do this!
